Hi im Joe the Teenage Astronaut (not my real name just a nickname) and this page is about me and my background with rockets and will also have more detailed explanations for the updates.
My history with space.
I've had many interactions with Spacecraft that have caused me to fall in love with them. Starting with OV-103 "Discovery" took her flight over the DC area when i was four. After that a series of events in short succession of one another caused me to fall on love and want to build these things or ride on one some day (I know all little kids want to be an Astronaut). The big one being my dad taking me to Smithsonian's Udvar Hazy National Air and Space Museum frequently. Followed by the launch of STS-135 which I watched live on TV. After this though for about eight maybe nine years I got onto loving other things (mainly weather as in Tornados, Hurricanes, and that kind of stuff). Until I ran into a random YouTube to me (at the time he's a household name in my family now) by Tim Dodd the Everyday Astronaut. It took ONE VIDEO for me to become a total space geek. I got KSP that day after having "experience" with it (throwing rockets together on my dads computer and launching them to watch them explode I was a messed up kid). I watched Scott Manley's videos, Matt Lowne. Until everything changed, while in a Zoom class im scrolling through YouTube and I see a live stream titled "Starship SN8 12.5 KM Flight Test" by NSF. My life would never be the same, in the span of 3 minutes I went from space geek to absolute Space Nerd. I paid attention in no classes that day or the next (aka SpaceX ruined my grades(its a joke they didn't it was me)). fast forward a few months and i decide to start a "company" calling it Teenage Astronaut being the fact im 13 at the time. make a website. Before than a month-ish later I record the first episode of Space Stuff by Teenage Astronaut. That's where we are now pretty much. I've gotten my entire house hold to know about space events, and my Grandparents watch launches with me if there's one while im at there house. This is Joe the Teenage Astronaut Signing off.
